Gov. Bobby Jindal, along with LSU President F. King Alexander and agency representatives, break ground on the new Center for River Studies- the first of three buildings to make up the Water Campus.
LSU President F. King Alexander sought to address questions about Gov. Bobby Jindal’s proposed budget for higher education in a video published to YouTube Monday.
Jindal’s 2016 fiscal year budget calls for a $141.3 million reduction in spending for higher education in Louisiana.
“There’s no doubt that this is a transformational shift in the way higher education is being funded by our state, and requires an equally transformational solution,” King said.
