Sweet Briar College, a private university in Virginia announced this month they would be closing their doors due to financial strain, but its faculty passed a resolution barring the shut down Monday night.
The school’s administrators l was quoted saying the class of 2015 would be the last to graduate from the 100-year-old school, but 65 faculty members called an emergency meeting Monday night declaring they refused to let the school become a piece of history.
