A 20-year-old Alabama woman left the United States to join ISIS, an Islamic extremist organization, according to a report by Buzzfeed.
Various actions by the organization, such has the beheadings of Ethiopian Christians in Libya, have been making headlines in recent days.
The woman, referred to simply as Hoda in the interview, is an American citizen and was a student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before running away from her family to join the organization in Syria.
According to the report, Hoda withdrew from her classes at UAB in order to receive a refund check that she then used to fund her plane trip.
