LSU sophomore guard Raigyne Moncrief earned her first Southeastern Conference Player of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.
Moncrief became the second LSU player this season to be named SEC Player of the Week after junior guard Danielle Ballard earned the honor on Jan. 19.
In the the Lady Tigers’ three conference wins against Missouri, Auburn and Alabama last week, Moncrief averaged 14.3 points, seven rebounds, two steals and 1.7 assists per game. During the stretch, Moncrief shot 48.6 percent from the floor.
Against Alabama, Moncrief tallied a her first career SEC double-double, including 11 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida, native notched a SEC career-high 21 points against Missouri.
