Two years after his last full-length release Drake surprised fans on Thursday night with a mixtape titled If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late.
While there were murmurs on social media about an upcoming release, it took one tweet by the rapper to confirm it.
Instead of just an announcement, however, he tweeted a link directing people straight to iTunes to buy the mixtape:

The release of If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late falls on the six year anniversary of one of his first big releases, the mixtape So Far So Gone.
Here’s what fans had to say about the surprise release:

This isn’t even the Drake I prefer, where’s the singing… Yea, he’s not getting my coin for a handful of throwaway tracks. Clever tho.
This news comes hours after Drake released an introspective short film.
The mixtape features artists like Lil Wayne and Travi$ Scott and is available on iTunes now.
