Live Nation said in a press release Sunday morning that the final day of Voodoo Music and Arts Experience is cancelled due to “dangerous weather conditions including forecasted persistent rain and flash flood warnings for Orleans Parish.”
Despite the festival being a “no refund, rain or shine event,” three-day ticketholders will be refunded one-third of the posted price at the time of purchase, and one-day ticketholders will receive a full refund.
“Fan safety is the top priority for the producers of the festival and current conditions at City Park do not meet our standards for maintaining a safe experience,” the release said.
Chance the Rapper, who was scheduled to play at 3:30 today, tweeted “I’m in New Orleans and they cancelled the fest are there any like Day of The Dead dayparties?”
Other artists that were scheduled to play at Voodoo today include Slightly Stoopid, Post Malone, Deadmau5, Zac Brown Band and more.
