Junior wide receiver Travin Dural is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the 2015 season, due to a torn hamstring in his right leg. Dural will have surgery on the tear this week, and recovery time for the injury will be roughly 3-4 months, according to a source.
Dural, LSU’s No. 2 receiver behind Malachi Dupre, strided into the endzone three times during his 10 games and one quarter this season, then Dural went limping into the locker room during the first quarter of LSU’s 17-38 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday.
Dural leaped for a ball in the endzone, and fell on his back while tweaking his right leg in the process.
The injury sidelined Dural for the remainder of the game, and will likely end Dural’s season.
Dural caught 28 passes for 533 yards, averaging 19 yards per catch. He was LSU’s second-leading receiver behind Malachi Dupre, who has 37 catches for 584 yards this season.
