LSU sophomore fullback J.D. Moore will not play in this weekend’s contest against No. 8 Florida due to a knee injury, according to a report by The Advocate.
Citing two sources, The Advocate reported Moore could potentially miss several weeks due to a knee ligament strain, which occurred on a tackle after a reception early in last weekend’s win against South Carolina.
The second-year player has lined up in front LSU running backs in every game this season, clearing traffic for the leading rusher in the nation and the third-ranked rushing offense in the country.
Freshmen Bry’Keithon Mouton, who substituted for Moore against the Gamecocks, and David Ducre are the likely backup options for LSU.
