The house dad of LSU’s Kappa Alpha chapter, 52-year-old Carlos McKnight, was found dead in the fraternity house Tuesday, according to an email from LSU Media Relations director Ernie Ballard.
Ballard confirmed LSUPD officers and Baton Rouge EMS were dispatched at 12:17 p.m. on a medical call to the fraternity house, located at 19 Dalrymple Dr. McKnight was unresponsive, and was determined to be deceased prior to their arrival.
East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner William “Beau” Clark said the death appeared to be natural, but is still under investigation. He said he does not suspect any suspicious activity in the death.
Kappa Alpha declined to comment at this time.
