Eight LSU football players have been named to 13 different preseason award watch lists for 2015 season. Sophomore running back Leonard Fournette is on four different watch lists, which is the most of any LSU player. Senior safety Jalen Mills is on the defensive player of the year and best defensive player watch lists but was not named to the Jim Thorpe Award watch list, given to the nation’s best defensive back. Freshman offensive lineman Toby Weathersby is one of two freshmen on the Rotary Lombardi Award watch list due to winning the Rotary Lombardi Committee’s first ever Greater Houston High School Award
