A Baton Rouge Police Officer was involved in a collision on Highland Road on the LSU campus Wednesday afternoon. The officer was on a motorcycle escorting a funeral procession when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. 
In a statement to Tiger TV, a BRPD spokesman said that the officer suffered “moderate” injuries, and was taken to an area Hospital. The BRPD continues to investigate as the situation is ongoing. 
Traffic is being diverted from Highland Road down South Stadium Drive on the LSU campus.
