Many songs have been sung about the materialistic society which in many ways pervades the music industry. Encompassing issues are the objectification of women (albeit men et al. are objectified often as well) which functions to lessen the being to mere body parts. In this playlist there are songs which sing of the body as if it is an object to admire, and others which bemoan the long journey that one takes to be recognized as more than the corporeal. Some rock and indie with DJ Woah, Man!
