LSU senior all-arounder Jessie Jordan earned Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week honors after her all-around-title winning performance Friday night in the PMAC.
Jordan garnered the award for the second time in her career after posting a 39.550 in the all-around in the season’s first meet. Her score ranks No. 1 in the nation and signifies the fifth time an LSU gymnast has reached the top spot in the all-around rankings since 2000.
Jordan earned her top-ranked score by tying her career highs on the bars, beam and floor, with a 9.925 on each.
Her efforts also helped LSU garner the second highest total in the nation at 197.125 and promoted the team to No. 2 in the GymInfo national standings.
