The University of Virginia reinstated its Phi Kappa Psi fraternity after an article published by Rolling Stone magazine alleged the fraternity was involved in gang rape.
Local authorities guided the University to its decision to reinstate the fraternity after the article was published.
The Charlottesville police are investigating the claims and will continue to look into the matter, said Capt. Gary Pleasants, a spokesman for the department.
