The LSU women’s basketball team beat Vanderbilt, 64-44, Thursday night in the PMAC.
LSU (8-7, 2-1 SEC) handled Vanderbilt (8-7, 0-3 SEC) after giving up a 10-point lead early in the second half. The Lady Tigers finished the game on a 22-to-6 run while creating eight turnovers in that span.
Senior guard DaShawn Harden led all scorers with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting while adding two steals. Junior guard Danielle Ballard made her season debut off the bench with four points and 11 minutes played after returning from an indefinite suspension that kept her sidelined all season.
