After completing its three-game sweep in the Baton Rouge Regional tournament, No. 2 LSU (51-10) will be in action again on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Alex Box Stadium for its Super Regional game against University of Louisiana – Lafayette.
ULL earned its bid to a Super Regional on Monday after it defeated Rice in the Houston Regional championship game.
The two teams will play a best-of-three series beginning on Saturday. Game 2 will be on Sunday at either 5 p.m. on ESPNU or 6 p.m. on ESPN2. If necessary, Game 3 will be played on Monday at a time announced on Sunday.
The Super Regional winner secures a bid into the College World Series, ensuring a chance to compete for a national championship.
