Executive Vice President and Provost Stuart Bell has been recommended for the position of president at the University of Alabama, according to a University broadcast email.
If Bell is selected by the UA Board of Trustees, the email said, he will become president on July 29.
Current Alabama president Judy Bonner announced in December that she would leave her post no later than September 1, according to AL.com.
Bell came to LSU in 2012.
