Dr. James Otvos, founder and chief scientific officer of Liposcience Inc., will deliver a seminar Thursday morning at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. He plans to discuss his research on good and bad cholesterol.
Otvos has been focusing on whether the two types of routinely measured cholesterol should remain the clinical focus of physicians, nutritionists and cardiologists.
Otvos’ company develops innovations in the diagnostic tools used for hear disease and diabetes. The seminar takes place Thursday morning at 11 and is open to the public.
