Saturday’s second annual Radiopalooza may begin a tradition of growth for both WHYR Baton Rouge Community Radio and its developing festival.
Last year’s event included local music performances, and this year’s Radiopalooza will expand to feature more food, a musical entertainment tent for children, tables for local non-profit organizations to promote causes and a bar area.
The addition of a second stage for musical acts will allow the festival to stagger performers, permitting one group to begin playing shortly after another finishes up. With a variety of featured music, including blues, pop and cajun, WHYR Development Director Jessi Stafford said the event caters to a wide spectrum of community members.
