The women’s track and field team also finished in the same place as the previous year in eighth place at the 2012 Atlantic Coast Conference championships, improving its score on the previous year by 18.5 points, going from 39.5 to 58 in one year. The women’s team finished only three points behind the seventh place Miami Hurricanes.

The women’s team had high performances from the distance and throwing sections. The distance squad had one top-3 performers and the throwers had two top-3 finishes in events.

Senior Annie Cozzarelli finished second in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 33:53.65. Cozzarelli also scored for the Pack with a fifth place finish in the 5,00 meter race (16:44.91). The discus team also scored for the Pack with a third place finish by Brittany Hampton and a fouth place finish by Tremanisha Taylor. Taylor also finished second in the shot put throw.
