NEW DELHI (AP) — Google India has reportedly removed content deemed offensive to Indian political and religious leaders to comply with a court case that has raised censorship fears in the world’s largest democracy.
Press Trust of India says that Facebook, Google and 20 other sites were given two weeks to present further plans for policing their networks for photographs, videos or text deemed “anti-religious” or “anti-social.”
