Senior Night wasn’t quite right for the LSU men’s basketball team.
The Tigers dropped a 74-69 overtime decision to Tennessee in the PMAC Wednesday night, blowing a 15-point first-half lead in the process.
Junior center Justin Hamilton led the Tigers with 17 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the sharp-shooting Volunteers, who made 51 percent of their field-goal attempts and racked up 19 points from the free throw line after halftime.
Anthony Hickey added 12 points on three key second-half 3-pointers and senior forward Malcolm White scored seven points in his LSU home sendoff.
UT freshman forward Jarnell Stokes paced the Volunteers with 18 points and seven rebounds.
The loss dropped LSU to 17-12 on the season and 7-8 in Southeastern Conference play.
