William Bouvay Jr., 42, of 8224 Skysail Ave., was arrested Wednesday morning, Sept. 19 in relation to the bomb threat reported Monday, Sept. 17.
The state has officially charged William Bouvay Jr., the man arrested for calling in a bomb threat to the University on Sept. 17, for reporting the fake threat.
The East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office filed the charge Thursday for communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property, according to The Advocate.
Bouvay, of 8224 Skysail Ave., could face up to 20 years in prison. He was also indicted by a grand jury on Sept. 20.
If convicted on all counts, Bouvay’s maximum sentence would be 30 years.
