WATSON (AP) — A Live Oak High School power-lifting coach who resigned earlier this month has been arrested on 14 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputies booked Thomas Broady, 25, Friday in incidents involving six girls, ages 14 and 15, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Lori Steele said.
Livingston Parish School Superintendent Bill Spear says Broady is no longer employed by the parish and the school system is fully cooperating with the investigation, but Spear declined to give any other information about the case, saying it is a personnel matter.
In an affidavit attached to Broady’s arrest warrant, a student’s mother alleges that on Oct. 10, Broady had her 15-year-old daughter take off her shirt, bra and shorts, so he could measure her for a power-lifting uniform.
