College radio is one of the last remaining bastions of creative radio programming, free from the constrictions of having to be commercially viable, and a place where those involved in its programming believe passionately in its mission. College radio is the only free live medium brave enough to play unsigned, local, and independent artists on a regular basis. Indeed, many famous and successful bands today, owe their initial break to being played on college radio. Put simply, college radio is an important part of the media landscape because of its unique and fearless programming. Wouldn’t you agree?

KLSU is dedicated to keeping you informed, entertained and exposed to all the new and amazing music that is being created every day.

So join us on the Parade Grounds on October 2 for a party nothing short of your Batman themed, 6th grade sleepover.

We’ll have CDs, T-shirts, stickers, program schedules, and freeze pops for anyone who comes out and shows their appreciation for KLSU.

There will be chances to win weekend Voodoo Experience passes. A dunk booth so you can dunk that favorite DJ of yours. A rock wall so you can show off your strength. A bungee run so you can dismantle reputation gained by rock climbing. And of course, we’ll be playing music, dancing, and laughing at our soaked DJs.
