Man arrested for fugitive warrant
Officers arrested Patrick Henry Thomas on Sept. 15 after he sped down East Campus Drive in the opposite lane and nearly lost control.
When LSU Police Department officers pulled 23-year-old Thomas over, they determined he was driving under a suspended license and had an outstanding fugitive warrant with East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, according to LSUPD spokesman Capt. Cory Lalonde.
Thomas, of 3020 Colquitt Road, Apt. 1507, in Shreveport, was charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle, driving under a suspended license and for having an outstanding warrant.
He was booked in the EBR Parish Prison.
Union custodians arrested for fighting
Eddie L. Robinson, 49, and Earnest J. Plain, 44, were arrested Sept. 14 after fighting with each other inside the Student Union.
Officers were dispatched to a report men fighting at the Union around 2:47 a.m., Lalonde said. Witnesses told officers the men were first involved in a verbal altercation before punches were thrown.
Plain, of 16425 Patton Street, suffered minor injuries to his head.
Both Plain and Robinson, of 126 W. McKinley Street, were charged with simple battery, issued misdemeanor summons and released.
