Peppered with cots and supplies, the University’s Field House held 112 medical special needs evacuees at the Field House Tuesday night, according to Christina Stephens from the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security.
Around 2,937 people are in shelters around the state. Of those evacuees, 653 are at state-run shelters and 2,284 are at parish-run and Red Cross shelters.
