After Tropical Storm Isaac’s damage to the University mainly consisted of fallen trees and debris, University officials announced Thursday that classes will resume Friday.
The University kept power throughout the storm despite many areas in Baton Rouge experiencing power outages. Initially, the University was supposed to close Tuesday and Wednesday in wake of then-Hurricane Isaac, but officials announced Wednesday that it would close today as well.
Classes will not be held Monday, which is Labor Day.
