The University will close Tuesday and Wednesday as Tropical Storm Isaac’s path is projected to intersect with campus as it strengthens into a category one or category two hurricane Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning.
The University’s Emergency Operations Center will monitor the storm before making an announcement about if school will be open Thursday.
All residence hall facilities will remain open, according to University Relations. If power goes out, several areas of the University will keep their power with priority going to the designated medical shelter facilities, emergency lighting, sewage and storm water pumping systems and more.
Check back later for more updates.
