Dr. Lisa Jo Pate, the daughter of former LSU athletic director and baseball coach Skip Bertman, died Tuesday at age 44.
Pate, who had been battling cancer, was one of four children to Skip and Sandy Bertman.
Pate earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from LSU in 1999 after graduating from Tulane’s Newcomb College with a Bachelor of Arts in French and Psychology in 1989.
A memorial service will be held for Pate on Friday 1 p.m. in Baltimore.
