The University will host its first Women’s Community Service Project this weekend in recognition of Women’s History Month. The Office of Equity, Diversity and Community Outreach has teamed up with the Women’s Center to sponsor this weekend’s project. The event will be held Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will paint and remodel Sweet Dreams, a shelter for women and children without homes. Currently, more than 40 people have signed up to participate. Sharbari Dey, graduate assistant for the Women’s Center, said there is no restriction for men to participate, but University women are encouraged to attend in greater numbers. Registration for the program ends today at 4 p.m.
