The Onion: Queen Will Leave Behind Long Legacy Of Waving
An entertaining news clip from the Onion guys taking a good look at Queen Elizabeth II’s primary duty as monarch: waving to the crowds during big ceremonies. I can see the sarcasm, but waving is pretty important. Think about it. The wave is the main communication between her and the crowds, and it transcends the barrier of her armored limo.
How To Make A Bristlebot
Here’s something wacky. This video shows you how to make a small robot out of a toothbrush head. Very few supplies or expertise needed, and I bet it would freak people out if they thought it was some kind of turbo cockroach. A fun way to recycle old toothbrush heads (assuming they are made the right way as specified in the video).
Miracle Fortress- Have You Seen In Your Dreams
A Visually stunning music video for a beautiful song. Remember those magnetic drawing pads? This video incorporates four of them. I’m sure this one took a while to make, and it’s worth it. The video is beautiful, and there’s a lot of creativity. It reminds me of the old video for “Take On Me” (look that one up too).
Erbert and Gerbert’s Candle Cannon
I officially want one of these. How much fun would it be to knock over stuff with just air? Watch these guys blow out candles far away with their candle cannon. I’d like to see more mischief with this thing. Give me a day with that machine, and I will be happy.
Still Hot And Still Streaming: Youtube Classics Revisited
Zombie Kid Likes Turtles
Quite possibly the most blissfully pointless video ever. We are entering a new age of entertainment. If this happened twenty years ago, it would have flickered on the TV screen, perplexed the viewers and be forgotten. With Youtube, that moment is captured. The first time you watch it, it’s just random. But you have got to watch it again. The second time you see it, it’s the most hilarious thing you’ve ever seen. You watch it again and again and again, and you show your friends, and some of them laugh while others just think its stupid. It’s one of those impossible to duplicate moments of genius, and we are lucky that this lightning bolt got caught in a bottle.
