The No. 7 LSU gymnastics team captured first place Saturday at the NCAA Central Regional, posting a score of 197.625.
The Tigers edged out No. 6 Stanford, which posted a score of 197.525.
Ohio State, Missouri, Kentucky and Kent State were the other schools to participate in the event, which was held in the PMAC.
LSU junior Ashleigh Clare-Kearney scored a perfect 10 on the vault and posted a season-high 39.825 to capture the all-around title.
LSU senior Kristi Esposito posted season highs on beam and floor with a 9.90 and 9.875, respectively.
With the victory, the Tigers advance to the NCAA Preliminary Sessions on April 24 in Athens, Ga.
