Florida’s 2006 BCS National Championship trophy breaks — 12:34 p.m.

Florida officials confirmed their 2006 BCS National Championship trophy shattered this past week, according to Florida Today.
The $8,000 trophy was sitting on a coffee table outside of coach Urban Meyer’s office, where it was found broken.
According to the newspaper, Florida officials have already contacted the Kentucky-based company about seeking a replacement.
