After being held to just two runs Friday night, Ole Miss exploded with four runs in the sixth inning Saturday en route to 7-1 victory against LSU.
With the loss, the Tigers (21-13, 5-9) are now four games behind the Rebels (24-11, 9-5) in the Southeastern Conference Western Division standings.
LSU managed only four hits in the game, and third baseman Michael Hollander had the Tigers’ only RBI — a groundout to short stop which scored catcher Micah Gibbs in the eighth inning.
LSU is now 1-7 this season in conference road games. The Tigers and Rebels conclude their three-game series Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
