Current LSU track and field athletes and former Tigers pursuing Olympic glory competed Saturday at the 2008 Alumni Gold meet at Bernie Moore Stadium. The meet also served as the Tigers’ last home meet of the season. Participating schools included Texas A&M, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tulane and South Florida, among others.
The LSU men’s and women’s track teams finished first in the 4×100 meter relays and the 4×400 meter relays.
LSU sprinters Trindon Holliday and Samantha Henry took first place in the men’s and women’s 100 meter dashes.
Former Lady Tiger hurdler Lolo Jones set a world-leading record time in the 100 meter hurdles, while LSU hurdler Ryan Fontenot finished first in the men’s 110 meter hurdles.
