Michael Martin, the sole finalist for the University’s chancellor position, will hold a public forum Wednesday afternoon for faculty, staff and students.
The forum is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. and will be held at the Energy, Coast and Environment Building Auditorium, located on Nicholson Extension.
Martin, who is currently the president of New Mexico State University, is also scheduled to meet twice with the LSU Chancellor Search Committee as well as meet with University administrators and stakeholder groups during his two-day visit that begins Tuesday.
The first search committee meeting is Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Louisiana Emerging Technology Building, located on East Parker at East Boyd Drive.
Martin’s exit interview with the committee is Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The committee is expected to meet Friday to determine whether it can make a recommendation to LSU System President John Lombardi.
Lombardi will then decide whether to send the recommendation to the LSU Board of Supervisors for approval.
The Board’s next meetings are June 5 and 6.
