LSU football coach Les Miles will likely field questions at a press conference tomorrow about the status of sophomore quarterback Ryan Perrilloux.
LSU fan message boards were filled with rumors this weekend that Perrilloux’s playing status may be in jeopardy after violating team rules.
Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette acknowledged Sunday evening that he was aware of the Internet rumors.
“I don’t have an answer for you,” Bonnette said. “Coach Miles has been out of town. I don’t know if there’s any truth to it.”Miles meets with the media Monday to discuss coaching changes.
“I’m sure he will get asked about it [Monday] and have some answers,” Bonnette said.
Miles previously suspended Perrilloux in May after Baton Rouge Police Department cited him for attempting to enter a casino without proper identification.
Perrilloux also missed the Nov. 3 Alabama game after his alleged involvement in a fight at the Varsity Theatre. Miles dismissed reserve linebackers Derrick Odom III and Jeremy Benton from the team after they were linked to the incident.
