The intramural flag football playoffs continue at the University Student Recreation Complex this week.The semifinals of the men’s league in flag football will be at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. tonight.The Real Dynasty, Kappa Sigma, Acacia A and The Mauls survived the competition and have made it to the semifinals.The Real Dynasty, ranked No. 8 in the IM Power Ranking system, will compete against Kappa Sigma, ranked No. 7, according to University Recreation.The IM Power Ranking system is how the UREC ranks flag football teams and considers team records and the score of games into account.The Real Dynasty has a perfect record at LSU and has won the last two championships. Van English, finance senior and wide receiver for the Real Dynasty, said their team has never lost a game at LSU.The Real Dynasty also won the regional tournament in Hattiesburg, Miss., last year, English said.Matt George, biological sciences senior and offensive and defensive lineman for the Real Dynasty, said their chances are pretty good to win the playoffs this year.”This team has won the last two years, and I believe this year we have as good as chance as the last two,” George said. Acacia A, ranked No. 8 in the Fraternity league, will play The Mauls, ranked No. 15.Acacia A is the only Fraternity team left in the draw and the other three teams are from the men’s league.The teams will compete for a spot in the championship game and an opportunity to play in the regional tournament.
