A 19-point effort by Allison Hightower wasn’t enough to match a stellar shooting performance from the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Sunday afternoon in the PMAC.
Middle Tennessee junior guard Alysha Clark scored 37 points to lead the Blue Raiders (5-1) to a 79-75 win against the Lady Tigers (1-3).
LSU has dropped three contests this season, including home losses to No. 16 Notre Dame and No. 25 Xavier. Sunday’s loss marks the first time LSU has dropped two consecutive home games since the 1995-1996 season.The Lady Tigers held a 10-point advantage at the beginning of the second half but watched the lead vanish behind Clark’s shooting surge.
