A Rivals.com report surfaced early Tuesday that FAMU High School linebacker Willie Ferrell de-committed from LSU. But Ferrell told the The Daily Reveille on Tuesday afternoon the report isn’t true.”I was talking to a reporter last night, and I guess he messed my words up,” Ferrell said. “I told him my family wants me to think about other schools, but I said no matter what I’m still committed.”Rivals.com rates Ferrell as a three-star inside linebacker. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker has scholarship offers from other schools including Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Kentucky and Ole Miss.”I am still committed,” Ferrell said. “The only thing I said was that I haven’t signed the dotted line on the paper yet.”Ferrell said he plans to visit LSU this weekend for the Georgia game, and he will visit when LSU hosts the Alabama Crimson Tide on Nov. 8.The Tigers have 16 verbal commitments for the class of 2009, according to Rivals.com.—-Contact Tyler Harvey at [email protected]
