The Lady Tigers swam a close meet in Fayetteville, Ark., on Thursday before falling to the Razorbacks, 151-149. LSU senior Katherine Noland took first in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle. LSU freshman Morgan McGee earned victories in the 100 and 200 backstrokes. Arkansas junior Leah Pierce captured an Arkansas record in the 200 breaststroke that stood since 1994. “We were anxiously awaiting today’s meet for the opportunity to see what Leah was going to do in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes; she has been doing an outstanding job in training, and we had a feeling we would see something special from her today,” Arkansas coach Jeff Poppell said in a news release. Arkansas sophomore Katie Kastes picked up another 3 victories for the Razorbacks in the 200 individual medley, 100, and 200 butterfiy.
