LSU sophomore quarterback Andrew Hatch sustained an unspecified leg injury during the Georgia game last Saturday, and his status for future games is unknown, according to a statement Tuesday from team spokesman Michael Bonnette.”Andrew has a leg injury, and we are trying to get him back on the field as soon as possible,” LSU coach Les Miles said in a news release. “Right now, we are just taking it day by day.”Hatch was seen on campus Tuesday walking on crutches. Media members were not able to observe his participation in practice since LSU football practice has been closed to the media for several weeks.Hatch started the first three games of the season before leaving the Auburn game with a concussion. He has completed 25-of-45 passes for 282 yards and rushed for 129 yards.Redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee assumed the starting role after leading LSU to a comeback win on the road against Auburn. Lee has since taken the lion’s share of the snaps, although Hatch has rotated in frequently to give the Tigers a greater running threat.Contact Amy Brittain at [email protected]
