STUDENT ARRESTED FOR DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATEDA University student was arrested Friday at 7 a.m. after passing out in his car in the middle of the road.Ross P. Doran, 20, of 8830 Darby Ave., Baton Rouge, was charge with driving while intoxicated, simple possession of marijuana and a traffic violation.LSU Police Department spokesman Capt. Russell Rogé said officers responded to a car sitting in the middle of the road on East Parker Boulevard near Highland Road.When officers arrived, Doran was passed out in the driver’s seat with the engine still running.Officers conducted a field sobriety test and arrested Doran.Rogé said Doran registered a BAC of 0.15 grams percent.Officers found 0.5 grams of marijuana in the vehicle.Doran was booked in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.STUDENT HITS PARKED CAR WHILE INTOXICATEDA University student was arrested Saturday at about 3:30 a.m. after attempting to flee an accident.Matthew S. Yoder, 18, of 1008 8th St., Lake Charles, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless operation.Rogé said Yoder was a passenger of a vehicle involved in a traffic accident on East Campus Drive near South Campus Drive.Officers told Yoder to sit in the car until questioned about the accident, but Yoder got into the driver’s seat, drove off and hit a parked car.Yoder registered a BAC of 0.107 grams percent.He was booked into EBR Parish Prison.STUDENT ARRESTED FOR CRIMINAL DAMAGEA University student was arrested Wednesday at 2 a.m. after damaging a black Nissan Xterra.Bryn B. Mueller, 18, of 6037 Forest Highlands Drive, Fort Worth, was charged with simple criminal damage.Rogé said officers responded to a noise complaint at East Campus Apartments near building nine where they found Mueller damaging the SUV.After officers ran the license plate of the vehicle, they determined it did not belong to Mueller.Officers questioned Mueller about the damage, and he said he was angry with himself for failing out of school. Mueller was drunk, involved in a fight at a local bar and hit the first thing he saw, Rogé said.Mueller had lacerations on his face and legs from the fight and refused medical assistance.Mueller was issued a misdemeanor summons and released.MAN ARRESTED FOR DISTURBING THE PEACEA man unaffiliated with the University was arrested twice on Sunday after disturbing a party at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house.Brevin J. Jackson, 20, of 8461 Landry Road, Beaumont, Texas, was charged with two counts of remaining on premises after being forbidden, disturbing the peace while intoxicated and improper telephone communication.Rogé said LSUPD officers responded to a fight at the SAE house at about 1:45 a.m. where Jackson was involved in a verbal altercation.SAE members asked Jackson to leave the house, but he refused. Jackson began to scream at LSUPD officers demanding justice.Officers arrested Jackson, issued him a misdemeanor summons and released him.At about 3:30 a.m., Rogé said officers returned to the SAE house because Jackson came back with three friends attempting to start a fight.Rogé said Jackson was able to get the phone number for the LSUPD supervisor and left messages cursing and screaming.Jackson’s friends were banned from campus but not charged with anything.Jackson was arrested again and booked into EBR Parish Prison.TWO NON-STUDENTS ARRESTED FOR THEFTTwo teenagers unaffiliated with the University were arrested Saturday for stealing three ice chests of beer.Sean A. Williams, 17, of 1741 Potwin Drive, Baton Rouge and a 15-year-old juvenile male were each charged with three counts of misdemeanor theft.Rogé said officers atop Tiger Stadium saw the teens stealing the ice chests in the South Stadium parking lot.Williams was issued a misdemeanor summons and released. The unnamed juvenile was issued a misdemeanor summons and released to his parents.STUDENT ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSIONA University student was arrested Tuesday evening for smoking marijuana in his residence hall.Scott C. McCormick, 18, of 1350 Audobon Place, Beaumont, Texas, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and simple possession of drug paraphernalia.Rogé said officers responded to a report of possible drug use in room 352 of Graham Hall.Officers questioned McCormick about the incident.
