LSU dropped to No. 14 in the latest USA Today/Coaches’ poll following its 51-21 loss Saturday night at Florida. The Tigers are also No. 13 in the new Associated Press poll.
The Tigers (4-1, 2-1) are out of the top 10 in both polls for the first time this season. The Gators moved up to No. 7 in the Coaches’ poll and No. 5 in the AP poll following the win.
Texas is the new consensus No. 1 team in both polls after the Longhorns beat Oklahoma, 45-35, in the Red River Shootout on Saturday. The Sooners dropped three spots to No. 4.
Alabama, which was idle this week, remained at No. 2 in both polls.
