BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Louisiana is home to two of the nation’s top 10 most expensive campaigns for Congress.
That’s according to research by the nonprofit Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks the influence of money in campaigns.
In the 4th Congressional District, in western Louisiana, the four current candidates have spent a combined $3 million. In the 6th District surrounding Baton Rouge, three candidates have spent a combined $3.5 million.
