Starting Oct. 1, students will have new requirements for their PAWS passwords, according to a broadcast e-mail.Because of new password standards published by the State of Louisiana Office of Information Technology, new or changed passwords will be now be 10 to 14 characters, increasing from eight.PAWS passwords with 10 to 14 characters will expire in 60 days, must contain at least one number, cannot be the same as current password and cannot contain PAWS ID. PAWS passwords at least 15 characters long will expire 180 days, cannot contain PAWS ID and cannot be the same as current password.
