A 20-year-old man was shot Tuesday evening in the parking lot of the Place du Plantier apartment complex on Lee Drive.Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman, said the victim was getting out of his car when two men wearing hooded sweatshirts approached him.The victim was shot twice in the lower back when he tried to run away. BRPD officers and Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and transported the victim to an unidentified hospital. McKneely said the suspects did not steal anything from the victim. The victim did not sustain any life-threatening injuries, and McKneely could not identify whether the man was a University student.A Place du Plantier manager declined comment, saying “We can’t give out information until we get all the information.”—-Contact J.J.
