LSU Police Department Spokesman Maj. Lawrence Rabalais confirmed this morning a female student was hit by a vehicle while walking through a crosswalk on Nicholson Extension toward Patrick F. Taylor Hall.The student sustained “moderate injuries” and was transferred to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.Additional details about the incident, including the driver’s identity, are not yet available.Student Government President Colorado Robertson said a student notified him of the incident, and he is working to find more information.
Robertson said SG has been working to upgrade the crosswalks on Nicholson Extension and said this incident will likely increase the possibility of those improvements.—-
