With the 2008 LSU football season already locked in, fans can expect a change for the 2009 season.
The University of Louisiana-Lafayette has agreed to move its next contest against the Tigers from Sept. 25, 2010, to Sept. 19, 2009. The game will be played in Tiger Stadium.
The switch creates two holes in LSU’s 2010 schedule. The move also means more work needs to be done to complete the 2009 schedule.
Tulane has also agreed in principle to move the Oct. 31, 2009, game from the Superdome to Tiger Stadium, according to The Times-Picayune.
The rivalry game will return to New Orleans for both the 2010 and 2011 matchups.
The Tigers still have to find an opponent to fill the Nov. 14, 2009, game.
LSU is scheduled to open the 2009 season against Washington in Seattle.
